Competence and needs analysis

The Healthy Children project has revealed that what is really needed in the local communities is “unskilled assistance”. Hence, it is not a goal in the Healthy Children Concept to train volunteers to become additional health professionals, to those that already exist within the official public structures. The Healthy Children Concept recommends that we need the health ambassadors to be “good people” who like to do something with and for others. Hence, human skills are probably even more important than specific health skills. The health ambassadors need to know how to interact with children, young people and families, being able to ask questions and be curious and last but not least, being able to create trustful relations with children and young people.

In the following you can find material and examples of how to execute a competence and needs analysis.
